Beijing to Tianjin Train
120 km · about 30min · 100+ trains daily · from $8
About This Route
Beijing to Tianjin is China's original high-speed rail showcase — the first line to open in 2008 for the Olympics. At just 120 km and 30 minutes, it functions more like a commuter rail than a long-distance train. Over 100 daily services make it one of the most frequent routes in the country.
Which Train Should You Take?
C-trains (intercity) are the fastest at 30 minutes. G-trains also serve this route in about 33 minutes. Both are equally comfortable for such a short hop. There's no meaningful difference — just pick whichever departure time works.
Seat Classes
For a 30-minute ride, seat class barely matters. Second class is fine — you'll barely have time to settle in before arriving. Save your money for the destination.
