About This Route
Guangzhou to Guilin takes you from the Pearl River Delta's urban sprawl to some of China's most dramatic karst landscapes in about 2.5 hours. Guilin's limestone peaks, Li River cruises, and Yangshuo's countryside cycling make this one of China's top scenic routes.
Which Train Should You Take?
G-trains take 2.5 hours, D-trains about 3 hours. About 20 daily services operate. The route passes through increasingly dramatic scenery as you enter Guangxi province — grab a window seat on the right side for the best views.
Seat Classes
Second class is comfortable for 2.5 hours. The scenery is the main entertainment — you won't need to worry about seat comfort when karst peaks are floating past your window. First class offers slightly better window angles.
